(Middlebourne, WV) Bring on the B-Mods! Officials from the Tyler County Speedway and the Mega 100 weekend are excited to announce the addition of an all new tradition, the B-Mod ‘Battle Royale’! In an effort to make the Mega, well, even more Mega the speedway is ready to break an Eastern region B-Mod record. The Mega weekend will boast an unprecedented $5,000 to win, $300 just to start A-Main on Saturday June 1st for the ‘BMOD’ division.
The entire weekend guarantees four feature events for the division including a pair of $500 to win A-Mains on Friday and a $500 to win Saturday non-qualifier in addition to the $5,000 to win main event. Nearly $25,000 is up for grabs for the B-Mods, a lucrative numbers sure to attract and showcase the divisions very best competitors from across the nation. In all a minimum forty cars are guaranteed at least two features during the weekend including a feature payout that rewards all starting cars with typical weekly feature first place money, three hundred dollars just for grabbing Saturdays main green.
The weekend officially gets underway for the division on Friday night as the class splits on entry among Hotmods and others competitors within the B-Mods. Class regulars in the weekly Hotmod division will compete utilizing the traditional EDGE Hotmod rulebook for a $500 to win main event. The top four cars from the feature will earn the top four inside starting spots in Saturdays feature. Additionally, a second $500 to win ‘B-Mod’ full show will be run utilizing the events more open B-Mod rulebook. Like the Hotmods the top four drivers from the B-Mod show on Friday will lock into the top four outside starting spots in Saturdays finale. Thus eight drivers respectively will earn their spots in Saturdays A-Main by way of Friday’s features. On Saturday all competitors will return for a complete new show where drivers from both divisions will compete together for the entire evening. The events designated “B-Mod” rulebook will be utilized for the duration of Saturdays program including prelims, the A-Main, and a $500 to win added Non-Qualifier. All B-Mod entries are also encouraged to participate in Thursdays $1,000 to win ‘Contenders Race’ as long as they meet the eligible requirement of not being a previous A-Mod or Late Model feature winner in the past.
The “B-Mod Battle Royale” features the cost effective and competition equalizing Hoosier G-60 tire as well as the GM602 engines and lower end open motors with a 360 cubic inch limit. Cars you may see in competition during the weekend include the likes of drivers from the EDGE Hotmods, Mid East 602 Series, NE Elite Series, UMP Pro Mods and area sport mods.
